Overview

Matthew Balanda, MSN, is a family nurse practitioner specializing in pediatric allergy and immunology. He diagnoses and treats children with a range of allergic and immunologic disorders, including allergic rhinitis, food allergies, asthma, eczema, hives, venom allergies, drug allergies, immunodeficiency, and hereditary angioedema, a rare genetic disorder that causes recurrent episodes of swelling. He employs a variety of treatments to manage these conditions, focusing on relieving symptoms and improving the quality of life for his patients.

“Allergy and immunology is a fascinating specialty with a growing body of knowledge that continues to uncover the mysteries of how our immune systems behave,” Balanda says. “I enjoy helping our patients and families understand the nature of their allergic conditions, as well as the available therapies that can be utilized to help relieve their symptoms. I have the privilege of being in a position to educate our patients and families about these discoveries and how they impact their allergic conditions and quality of life.”
